How do we keep ClassDojo free?
ClassDojo stays free because of our optional subscription serviceA note from ClassDojo's founders
Liam and I started ClassDojo with the mission to help every kid on Earth get an education they love.
This remains at the heart of everything we do. And because we’re here for every kid, we’re committed to making ClassDojo accessible to every teacher and family in the world—for free, forever.
In 2019, we launched our optional paid service, ClassDojo Plus, to offer families fun extras that reinforce learning at home. Revenue from Plus lets us cover our running costs. And it ensures that ClassDojo is available for free to teachers, kids, and families around the world. Here are a few of the ways ClassDojo’s free service supports our community:
- Teachers get resources to cultivate close-knit classroom communities. We’ve also partnered with institutions like Stanford and Harvard to create our social-emotional learning series, Big Ideas, which has been viewed more than 11 million times.
- Kids get positive feedback and an enthusiastic team to support them inside the classroom and out. Soon, they’ll also have a safe, virtual place to learn, play, and grow with their friends.
- Families get a window into their kids’ world to keep them connected throughout the day. They get more opportunities to help their children flourish alongside teachers.
Tens of millions of you trust ClassDojo to be a part of your lives every day. Your trust means everything to us. We promise we'll always work as hard as we can to earn and keep it.
Our Principles
We use the money from Plus to constantly improve ClassDojo. We’ll invest the money we make to build new, even better products and services for teachers, kids and families. It’s a virtuous cycle.
